Singing And Friendship
Voices of Rock Choir was created by Toni in September 2023. Toni is a qualified and experienced Choir Director and music is part of her soul. Voices of Rock Choir is a fun choir singing rock music. The aim of the choir is to enable people to experience joy through song, and to make new friends. There are people of all ages and abilities in the choir and we have men and women. Do I Need To Be Able To Sing?
In a word….NO! Most people walking through the door of our choir all come in saying exactly the same thing….. “I’d like to join in, but I can’t sing”. You don’t have to have a wonderful voice, and you don’t have to have any singing ability whatsoever. And do you know what? Collectively, we all sound amazing! Toni teaches little bits of vocal technique every week, and when all the parts come together, it just sounds awesome. You don’t need any ability – you just need the desire to have some fun and give it a go!
What Performances Do The Choir Do?
As a choir we decided that we would be supporting Martin House Children’s Hospice. We perform at local events throughout the year raising money for this fantastic cause. We love performing! It means we come together as a team and our families and friends often come along too. We get to show off the songs we have been working on, because we are a fun choir singing rock music, the audience have a good old knees up, and often join in with us too. Rehearsals
We rehearse every Tuesday evening arriving at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. We usually finish around or just after 9.30pm. If you fancy coming along and having a go click here to get in touch
